The hat is cute and I love that it came with 2 different ribbons and some repair materials. I was a little bummed that the hat didn't look the same on as it did on the model. The brim was smaller. Luckily the hat size can be adjusted and it looks great on my 11 year old daughter. She is very happy!
This is a nice floppy style hat, but not really a sun hat.Good:• This hat “kit” comes with the hat, three ribbons, and an optional chin strap.• The hat material itself is an attractive, loosely woven straw like material. The listing and tag say it is paper and that sounds right. It also has a wire running around the outer edge of the brim.• The color is nice, and the different ribbons, which are optional, enable you to dress it up differently according to your mood or outfit.• Inside, there is a pull ribbon that allows you to adjust the fit. This is a very nice feature.• Overall the hat is comfortable to wear. It’s not heavy and I didn’t notice any scratchiness, but if your hair is thin, you may feel differently.• The hat is packable in the sense that it can be easily flattened.• The price is very reasonable.Not so good:• The had I received doesn’t look much like the photo in the listing. It’s much floppier and has wrinkles from the way it was squished in its box.• The hat is packable, yes, but it does get folds/wrinkles. I expect a packable hat to be able to be pulled out and used immediately, but this one requires some reshaping first.• The claim of sunscreen on this hat is misleading. A hat with such a loose weave really has no sun protection.Be aware:• If you truly need sun protection, look elsewhere as this hat does not really provide it.
Cute flexible hat. There is a strap inside so you can adjust the fit! You can clip on the chin strap or leave it off. There is extra straw yarn, in case of problems. There’s two different bows you can stretch - a black ribbon and a white lace ribbon. The white lace ribbon is my favorite. This hat is easily foldable to put in your summer bag. It’s a great beach hat! It’s lightweight and cool. It’ll keep the sun off of you without making you too hot. It’s super cute and made well!
I am super impressed with this hat! The price at the time of order was just under $13. The hat did arrive rolled up in a box which made me nervous since that sort of treatment has ruined other hats in the past. But not so! This hat is designed to be rolled up and squished! In the box, there are instructions with several options for flattening out any rough edges from shipping or travel. I haven’t done any of them yet and some of the creases have relaxed on their own (see pics). I concede that this hat would definitely look better smoothed out, but I tend to land on the more rugged end, the wash and wear end, of the spectrum, so a few creases don’t bother me much.Now the part that I was really impressed with is the versatility and options that come with this hat. It came with 3 different pre-tied bows to dress up this hat, and they are all very cute! We are coming into spring so I think I’ll wear the white one for now. Also, there are clear instructions inside the hat (1 sticker, and 1 sewn-in tag), for adjusting the fit of the hat. Plus it comes with an optional chin strap for windy weather.All in all, this is a great, versatile hat, for a great value!
The straw hat arrived flattened in the package. However, there are clear instructions on several ways of reshaping the hat before use, including wetting the material and allowing it to air dry. So this is incredibly helpful for traveling since I can pack it in a suitcase and reshape it once I arrive. The sun hat also came with 3 accessories string/bands to go around the hat, as well as a string tie under the chin. I love the white lace band the best. It just makes the hat very cute and romantic.There is a flexible wire that is threaded along entire brim of the hat, which helps to retain the shape of the brim. The brim is also wide enough to block sunlight from my face as well as some coverage for the back of the neck. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the sun hat and I'm so excited to use it for the summer and any trips.
Very cute sun hat comes with different colors of ribbon to wrap around the hat! It’s a traditional straw hat for women. More durable than I’d imagined and it fits any size or shape head perfectly…it molds around your head. I love it, it’s stylish and pretty while being very functional as well.

With just a few quick tweaks, I was able to get a perfect, secure fit. It’s so nice not having to worry about a hat being too loose or too tight.The hat also comes with two interchangeable hat bands — a delicate white lace band and a classic black ribbon band. Both are pre‑tied and slip onto the hat easily. My only small complaint is that the band tends to ride up a bit, but a couple of tiny loose stitches held it in place beautifully, so it was an easy fix.Another thoughtful detail is the detachable chin strap, which will be especially helpful on breezy days at sea. My hat arrived with a few wrinkles, but they smoothed out quickly. I simply stuffed the crown with paper for a little while, and it regained its shape perfectly. The brim can also be folded up on the sides if you prefer that style.Overall, this is a stylish, travel‑friendly hat that packs well, looks great, and will give me excellent sun protection on our cruise. So happy to find this hat! It comes completely folded up, which is amazing for travel. I've always wanted to take a cute straw hat on vacation, but they are typically too big to take on the flight. This solves that problem. It unfolds really nicely with a thin wire braided into the hat around the edge, making it easy to reshape. It comes with a couple of ties/bows, white and black, but honestly I prefer the hat without either. The one great thing that I really do like is the chin strap which will keep the hat in place on a windy day. The hat is comfortable and cute, recommend!
I’ve tried a lot of sun hats and usually don’t feel very cute wearing them, but this one pleasantly surprised me. It’s actually pretty flattering and fits my head comfortably. I had high hopes for this hat, but it came packaged very tightly and when I unpacked it was quite disfigured and wrinkled. I gave it several days, but it still looks bad. It just doesn't sit right on my head and is way too floppy over my eyes. I do appreciate that the chin strap is nice and tight and would withstand strong wind. It also came with two different colored bands- cream and black. Overall, due to its misshapen figure, I wouldn't recommend it for purchase.

This packable hat came packed down. When opened, it did not look good, but it included instructions on how to “refresh” the hat, including steaming the hat with an iron, wetting the hat, stuffing tissue paper to shape the hat and putting heavy objects on the brim of the hat. I wasn’t able to follow all of the instructions, like putting heavy objects on the brim of the hat as it is a bucket hat and the brim should not be flat.The hat is adjustable and came with instructions on how to adjust the hatband size to a perfect fit. I found the Velcro that this hat uses to be easier than ties and other methods used with other hats I own.The hat came with 3 different accessories that can be combined and worn as desired – a khaki ribbon, a black ribbon, and a chin strap that hooks onto built in loops on the hat. There is also a packet of extra straw, presumably to repair the hat.When I purchased the hat, it was described as being an SPF hat, 50 I believe. However this is a loose weave straw hat. Because of the loose weave, sun shines through the holes, rendering any SPF claims false. I do not see how this hat, with a loose weave, could provide any measurable sun protection.I’m giving this 3 stars because of the SPF claims.

Well-made and good looking sun hat
I really love this hat. I live on the coast, and I have never had a good beach hat because my head is just slightly larger than average. Just enough that almost all hats can go on my head, but it's too tight and feels like it's going to "pop up", making them uncomfortable and not very attractive. When I saw this came in medium AND large, I was excited! Not only does this hat fit me, but I have a little room to spare. But, if I find it too loose when I'm actually on the beach with the wind blowing, it can be adjusted with an elastic piece on the inside. This is made of good quality materials. I love the hat plain, but it also comes with 2 different decorative bands. One is an off-white lace with a bow, and the other is a black band/bow. It also has a strap you can attach to wear under the chin. The strap is black and has an adjustable clip on it so it can hang loose or snug. It has a very wide, floppy brim that's going to be great sun protection this summer.
